Vision Statement

All public-school students should have equal access to the technological resources necessary to be successful in the modern world, regardless of the economic or geographic conditions of their home & community.

Mission Statement

We are dedicated to improving resources available to public schools and creating sustainable processes for maintaining those resources.

Technology is continually evolving.  As a result there exists a continuous need to update or replace computer hardware to meet evolving software & network needs.  More so, due to the nature of computers, most machines have a temporary lifespan of less than ten years and generally closer to five years.   The resulting cycle has both economic impacts for those attempting to stay current and environmental impacts from the machines that no longer function.  As such, any technology donations being accepted (regardless of the donor) will have to meet pre-designated minimum technology requirements.

Utilizing volunteers, we will refurbish computer hardware donations and distribute them to public schools unable to afford the costs associated with maintaining up-to-date technology; schools without computer labs will receive assistance establishing a primary lab and initial technology curriculum.

By identifying schools lacking current technology and working with donors, community volunteers, school staff and district administrators, we hope to lessen the technological divide between schools, thereby providing all students equal-opportunity to the education & benefits that accompany access to information technology.

By reusing corporate computers in schools, there is a significant reduction in waste to the community, and reduced cost for schools to keep current.   Additionally, we have partnered with recyclers to ensure that all waste accumulated through the program is either reused or disposed of in an environmentally sustainable method.

At minimum, every classroom needs a computer for the teacher which can be projected for students. All schools need both Macs and PCs accessible to students, and each classroom from second grade on should have no less than one computer per 10 students.
